Junod lists Khosa first among the Dzonga clans, in the Khosen or Cossine country, and gives the chiefly line Khosa, Ripanga, Mabone, Molelemane, Ripindje, Magudjulane, Nshalati Pukwana, Magudju, Shongele. The Khosa, with the Nkuna and Hlabi, claimed a western or south-western (Zululand/Swaziland) origin; the people they found in Khosen were the Ntimba and Shibambo. In Lourenco Marques the Khosa were nicknamed Bakalanga, people of the north. Wikipedia says the Khosa identified with the Djonga and Mbai sub-group.
