The Matsebula supply the king's right-hand ritual queen, one of the two wives called sesulamsiti who perform specialist ritual roles (Kuper p.80 as reported in SWOHP_SIMELANE); Mswati II's son Nkhopholo was born of Lozinyanga Matsebula, a sesulamsiti, and was barred from succession by her status.
